Hi. Im a 16 year old boy, and this is my project which started after the Danish Scooter-meet, Als04.

Sunday 19 juni

Hello!

After I had been at Denmarks Fastest Scooter, which was great, but my DPR exhaust had not arrived yet, and that made the SSM pretty slow. I hope my DPR will arrive next week.

As it was when i came home:

I splitted up the SSM, because my sparking plug had been hitting the frame. So it was pretty busted.

It’s hard to see, but my sparkling plug is split into two pieces

But the problem is solved now, so at the momemt im just waiting for my DPR to arrive.


After I had been mad all week, because my DPR had not arrived, i woke up one morning, and spotted a package on the kitchen table. Yes sir! One DPR exhaust for me!

Jumped to the garage, and then found out that i could not mount it. There wasnt enough space, så i had to start working on it with a grinding machine. That took a long time!

I then started fixing a fitting. Found a piece of metal and started adapting it. Just temporarly.

Had it started, and then found out that i had left som paper inside the exhaust. Luckily it came out again!

Friday 1 Juli
Today I was out on the road, and I have to admit that its really kicking ass now. A lot more than it did with the C20 or the Evo7. Now im just looking forward to adjusting it!

I want to say a big thank you to Fjabbe aka Jakob, for his work with my DPR!

Back After I had been on ”Stregen” last Sunday, my DPR and my fitting broke.

Had it welded at my cousin, and reinforced the DPR.

Tore everything apart, because it was leaking water, and i needed to do some blueprinting on the engine. I also wanted to adjust the squish again.

Wednesday 3 August
Well, its been a while, but i was in the netherlands in the weekend, and had some great ideas.

I want another connecting pjece for the carbureator. I really don’t know why, but I don’t want to pay 400 kr. for a Malossi MHR. Therefore ill just make on my self. At first it didnt work out that good, but i made another and its working perfectly. Nice!

Fridag 2 september
After a nice camp last weekend, where my SSM was doing great on the track with its 16,9 hp, my Eprom unfortuantly died. So I’ve bought a new one!

BUT! Thats offcourse not enough HP for a boy like me, so the engine is splitted again, for some more adjustment.

I think ill do some work on the cylinder too..

I had no nozzles so I grabbed Sputte and he sent me some. Speed-line.dk is the best shop ever! Unfortuantly I could first receive my Twin Air at Tuesday, so until then my father gave me a brand new K&N filter! Nice!

After the Løvel scootermeet, a strange noise appeared. It turned out to be the bearing, so I have to get a new one.

The engine will be put together again soon. It needs a new paint job, and here in the wintertime im planning to do some more work on the SSM.

Its been a while! I have got myself a new front fork! Ive also received a SSP braking. Im hoping that I can mount the caliber!

I also started to work on my new plastic.

Friday 2 december

This Wednesday I tripped over a pjece of 70 mm. Aluminum. I had to make a kelk I also worked on with my VL13. I also still need my Twin Air, which Swobber was supposed to get.

Søndag d.11 december
And now there is finally happening something again! I started working on my front fork, and welded 2 fittings on it. I also welded on a piece of plating, and now it just needs some putty!

Saturday I started working on my front fork again. I want it polished! Started out with removing the paint, and then I started grinding it! Then I started polishing it, and it turned out great!

I’ve sent my front fork to a guy my pappa knows. He could shorten them off by 110 mm. and drill a new thread. I also started working on a spacer for my front wheel.

Today I was just lying, sleeping, and suddenly Swobber came in. What a shock! He threw me a nice Twin Air filter. Twin Air sure is nice and soft!

A while after he left. I started cutting some rubber of the filter. Made the rubber soft by putting it in some very hot water, and then it just fitted perfectly! Nice!!

I’ve also been talking to my cousin, and he says that my block will be ready next week. Sounds great! I am going on vecation on the 16th for 3 weeks. So i have plenty of time working on the SSM!

Im counting on putting the engine back together in a short while, and fix my front fork. Then I want to adjust it on a Dyno, and I’m sure hoping for 19+ hp!

That’s it now! I’m going to duet a lot of tåning in the future!








Monday d.26 december
Hi, im back again. After some christmas food. Uhm thats nice, and on top of that a lot of presents Well I had myself another DD LC engine at Wednesday, but I have choosen not to use it.
I have also made my new intake, and now i’m just waiting for my cousin to TIG weld it.

I have also been working on my frame. I have been using a lot of putty, and now I just need to trim it.

I have also mounted 4 mm. umbraco screws instead of the original riveter.

After I had been out partying yesterday, i felt very bad in the morning. At 20.15 o’clock I finally started working on the SSM. Mp3 music in the ears, and here we go!

I always uset his method to keep the bearings hot.

I cleaned my old engine in petrol, and it’s like brand new again. Neat!

The engine is ready for bearings and crankshaft. It was a hard job, but it worked out in the end.

I have finally finished my VL13, and polished it. Looks very nice.

I have also made a new bracket for the cooler. It just needs a little more welding.

Gert K. came by today with a micrometer. I have now adjusted the squish, and it’s perfect. I also adjusted the ignition.

My dad has also picked up my front fork. It costed me 150 kr. to have it polished and finished. Pretty neat!

I’m back again with some little more work done. My desire for the SSM has been a little up and down in these days.

Last day my cousin came along. He’d made a copy of my manifold in stainless steel. But I don’t think I’ll use it because it doesn’t fit to my reedvalve that well. I gave him my own again so he can TIG weld it.

I couldn’t find my thermostate so he also brought one to me.


To day I assembled most engine parts so it can get started. I made a new L-pipe so it fitted with the coolanttube.

Im now back again with a little bit of news. Im finish on my school now, and I have talked with the company which I’m going to work at.
I could start February 20th, so I have a little vacation to do something about my SSM.

I have made myself another pit stand, which is a little different.

Har lavet mig en spacer da jeg var træt af at min for-kaliber ikke sad på. Så den er færdig nu.
I have also made a spacer for my front caliper. I was sick and tired of it wasn’t working, so i have make a spacer. And it is finished now.
